Class Description
If you have both crafts in your crafty tool belt, why use just one when you could beautifully transition between knitting to crochet (and from crochet to knitting) all in one project?!
Vincent will guide you along this fun, mindful journey of his Mountain Mustang - Hybrid Knit & Crochet Pattern. The textured stitches paired with a bulky/chunky yarn will feel like standing at the top of the mountain peak amongst the clouds at sunrise.
Not only will you walk away from class with a wider world of creativity, but you'll also have the opportunity to learn how to read charts; both knitting and crochet charts, if you so choose!
Experience Level: Adventurous Beginner - Intermediate
Skill Prerequisites: Students with a basic understanding of crochet (chain and single crochet) and knitting (knits and purls) skills will be ready to dive into the techniques and skills taught. Students with experience in only one craft are still welcome!

Your kit fee will be due to the teacher at the start of class. It is easier if you bring cash in the exact amount of the fee.
About Vincent: Vincent Williams is the knitting and crochet artist behind Visuvio's Crafts. Visuvio's Crafts was born from Vincent's long and fruitless search for outstanding quality fall/winter accessories. The first thing he found on his journey was that the options for men's scarves were very limited if there was a section even available. Most of the pieces he looked into purchasing were either too short for a tall guy, featured silhouettes, patterns, and color combos outside of his style, or were simply way overpriced for a product that would still leave him unfit for the cold.
When Vincent was much younger his grandmother started to teach him the basics of crocheting. Although he never really worked on crochet for very long, he picked it up years later and took it much farther than he could ever imagine. He began to learn lots of different stitches and mini projects from YouTube content creators. Then he began to fiddle around with making projects based from his own aesthetic.
Currently Visuvio's Crafts is focused on apparel/accessory patterns including bags, croptops, halter tops, hats, headbands, scarves, infinity scarves, shawls and sweaters. They also design other pieces such as baby blankets, baby hats, baby booties, afghans, and throws.

- Yarn: At least 900 yards of bulky/chunky weight yarn (Enough to get started and work through half of the throw/blanket design, but feel free to bring more if you'd like to continue making progress on your project.)
- Hook: US M/13 (9.00 mm) crochet hook
- Needle: US 13 (9.00 mm) 32 or 40" circular needle
- Notions: Tapestry needle, scissors, locking (or split ring) stitch markers large enough to fit a 9.00mm tool (optional)
