Class Description
Unearthing the Artist Within is all about tapping into our ability to play with intention. We will immerse ourselves in our surroundings using “tools and inspirations” we find around the campsite in an effort to create a one of a kind book. Learning to listen to our instincts and let freedom take over from the inner critic. Participants will leave with a stack of beautifully painted papers, hand painted mixed media fabrics and a completed hand bound book.
This class starts with learning to trust your inner voice, listen to your muse, and hear what your inner artist wants you to unearth. We will excavate and explore in order to invite in a playfulness that will turn into fuel as you learn a list of tried-and-true mixed media techniques to help you unleash the Sacred Maker that lives inside you.
Tiffany says…”I love to have fun and let go in my workshops. I will offer refuge from the busy world…. We are going to let go and connect with our muse.”
Experience Level: This session is for all skill levels.
Supply List:
Kit Fee: $25 USD
Your kit fee will be due to the teacher at the start of class. It is easier if you bring cash in the exact amount of the fee.
About Tiffany: Tiffany will tell you that art changed her life. She always loved crafty things and fiddled with just about everything you can think of. She grew up with artists all around her, from a mom who could do anything (she never seemed to struggle or need to practice), to a brother who plays any musical instrument he tries. Then there was Tiffany, for her, art (and anything creative) seemed hard! So she retreated and told herself she didn't have any talent.
Except for talking!
It took some time, a person or two inspiring her, and of course the discovery of art journaling to bring us the Tiffany we know today. From forming beads for jewelry to painting on cardboard for 100 days in a row, Tiffany channels life’s challenges into painty messes. She says she is flabbergasted and humbled that people want to learn from her and honored that she gets to share her journey with so many other creatives.

Supply List:
- Small field notes/ journal
- Acrylic paints in black, white and any colors you love
- 1 inch flat paint brush (or a size up)
- 1-2 smaller paint brushes
- Any fabric or paper scraps you love that are really calling to you. I will be providing plenty in your kit.
- Glue stick
- Scissors
- NOTE -- *if you don’t like paint on your fingers, bring gloves to use when painting
