2025 Class Title The Places That Build Us Up: A Creative Exploration of Home
Colleen Attara
Mixed Media Storyteller
Class Description
In this workshop, Colleen will invite you to slow down, listen, feel, and excavate the many ways that home has shaped you. Through careful and freeing nudges towards serendipity and truth, Colleen will stand beside you as you reveal how your definition of home has played out in your journey thus far. You will then be invited to lay it all out, the good, the bad, and the ugly on a canvas (or paper) and scribble, paint, stitch, and stamp your way to embracing yourself as you truest, most authentic home. The sweetest part of this class will be going on a treasure hunt through suitcases filled with ephemera and fabric as we look for bits and pieces of ourselves to add into the pages. We will slow stitch, collage, paint and write as our long weekend away gets saved forever on our projects. This class is about transformation, the untold parts of our journey, and mixed media as we lean into and create layers using ephemera, story, and our wide open hearts. Experience Level: Come as you are. No experience necessary. All levels welcome. Colleen will meet you exactly where you are. Supply List: Please bring: -your curiosity and your willing & open ❤️. Colleen will bring everything else you will need!
Kit Fee: $30 USD - This includes everything you need for this class. Your kit fee will be due to the teacher at the start of class. It is easier if you bring cash in the exact amount of the fee.
