Roxanne Evans Stout
Artist, Teacher, Wanderer and Dreamer
About Roxanne:Roxanne is an artist and teacher, a wanderer and dreamer, a garden dweller, river walker, child of the forest, and daughter of the sea. She is always grateful, always noticing, and always growing. She lives and creates in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and the mountains and the river lands that surround her home are her constant inspiration.She shares her art in workshops internationally and has had her work shown and published several times in her own books and in magazines. Roxanne says, “As an artist I am constantly learning and growing. Art is my passion, my love, my soul.”
Nothing makes her more happy than helping students through their own process of renewal. Her goal is to help them find their own magic. Through her art she hopes to convey the feelings of connecting, timelessness and re-creation. She helps others express their unique beauty by illuminating the stories of who they are in quiet moments, in harmony with nature and as the creative voice of what’s sacred.
Class Description
In this 5‑hour immersive workshop, Roxanne invites you to step into a woodland atelier where nature becomes both muse and collaborator. Through foraging, water-gathering, and intuitive play, you’ll create three soulful artifacts infused with lake energy, found elements, and your own creative voice. Guided by nature’s wisdom, you will:
Wander the shoreline and forest to gather materials and inspiration;
Use lake water, plant matter, and cold-gathered pigments to enliven your creations;
Weave, stitch, collage, and assemble art that connects you to place, memory, and the sacred;
Experiment freely in mixed media and mindful mark-making in a spirit of curiosity and renewal;
Honor the story your art is telling as both witness and vessel for your own healing and transformation.
Roxanne’s approach is rooted in play, layered materiality, symbolism, and deep connection to the land which invites you to embrace the wild, the weathered, and the sacred. Through collage, bookmaking, ritual, and assemblage, you’ll explore how texture, symbolism, and your own story can become acts of renewal and resourcing for the creative spirit. This workshop is a ceremony in making and a place to gather, to hold intention, and to weave art that reflects your deeper journey home. Experience Level – All levels welcome! Supply List:
