Class Description
What if we took our art and made usable, fun, unique, satisfying, and practical products out of them? In this workshop, we will learn how to combine our love of art and sewing to make cute functional products that you can use repeatedly. It's a great way to show off your artwork to others uniquely. We will begin with a simple sewing project to acquaint you with the sewing machine. Then you will learn how get artwork onto fabric and create a small waterproof pouch using the fabric and a secret ingredient. Finally, we will explore the practice of mark-making and use our imagination to create a unique design on canvas fabric that we will transform into a zippered pouch. Participants will learn about mark making, straight stitching, sewing in zippers, setting snaps, and sewing with vinyl. But our main objective is to have fun with our creativity. You will leave with THREE different projects in your Sacred Maker's toolkit. Experience Level: All levels are welcome. Hand stitching is welcomed for each project! Supply List:
heat gun
sharp scissors
two bags of small white beans
ruler
