Kiala Givehand Modern Mystic, Alchemist,
Poet, Printmaker, Bookbinder
Class Description
In this 5-Hour session of exploration and experimentation, we will dive into the theme of HEALING THE CREATIVE SPIRIT by accessing our sacred soul-archives. The place where we hold our wisdom, our truth, our grief, our joy, and our stories of resilience and power. We will make the invisible visible. We will discover and create patterns that answer questions and reveal inner shifts. Between the stitched spines, the quiet marks, and the symbols, paths, and maps, we will document what matters, what has memory, and what we are ready to release, reclaim, and receive. This deep dive into YOU will reveal a record of personal truth and help you create a repository for your soul's desires, a chronicle of your transformations, and a healing account of who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.
Using a variety of supplies and materials in our creative time together, we will pull from a plethora of mediums, techniques, and tools to create powerfully personal and soulfully expressive creations. With monoprinting (a form of printmaking that makes a one-of-a-kind print) as our starting place, you will experience a list of techniques to jumpstart the magic of your SoulCompass Journal™. We will build a visual vocabulary of your healing (past, present, and future) and end by adding a layer of depth through writing poetry and personal narrative. Learn to let go, free your energy, and tap into the potential of signs, symbols, and serendipity.
Experience Level – Everyone is welcome.
