Symbologist, Graphic Designer, Artist About Jennifer Steidley: Jennifer is an Artist, Deck Creator, Author, and Teacher with a passion for symbology and a background in graphic design. She is the creator of 5 self-published Tarot and Oracle decks, including the CARTA-award-winning Tarot Disassembled. Her Tarot Disassembled deck and separate guidebook were both recently published by Red Wheel/Weiser Books. Jennifer loves finding the intersections between Tarot, Symbology, and seemingly unrelated topics and has been a speaker at multiple Tarot conferences and symposiums. When she’s not delving into all things Symbol-related, she can be found teaching Martial Arts, or playing with her son and pets at her home in Denver, Colorado.

3-Hour Class: Symbols for Healing
Exploring the Medicine Within Animal, Plant & Esoteric Symbols

In this exploratory class, you will learn about the powerful healing energies present in a curated collection of symbols that you can call upon to support healing in various areas of your life. You’ll learn which symbols are best to work
with for emotional healing, spiritual healing, and even physical healing. This unique collection of symbols includes symbols derived from the animal kingdom, the plant kingdom, and even from esoteric practices like tarot, astrology, and Runes. |
Each has a story to tell that can empower your healing journey in profound ways. Once you have learned about the unique medicine that each symbol in the collection holds, you will experience a short, guided meditation that will help you identify what area of your life needs the most healing at this time, and which symbol to align with.
You will then be guided to create an 8 inch by 8 inch piece of artwork that will embody and amplify your current healing journey, utilizing cloth bandages (a symbol of healing as well), plaster, and paint. You will be invited to write affirmations, intentions, and even wishes on the cloth bandages before incorporating them into your piece to infuse your art with even greater healing power.
As an art medium, the bandages and plaster add a lovely sense of texture and tactile depth to your art. Wood cutouts and metal charms of your chosen symbol will also be provided to add the perfect finishing touch to your symbol-infused piece.

Come get crafty in this special class that is a little bit arts and crafts, a little bit magic, and a whole lot of fun! The act of writing down your intentions, wishes, and goals is a powerful way to bring your desired reality into existence. Creating a custom spell jar can take your manifestation game to the next level!
In this class, you will be guided to create a personal spell jar using a variety of dried herbs, crystals, symbol charms, and even natural items you’ve collected from around Squam Lake. Each ingredient will be chosen with intention to support your highest goals. (Think of it as your own personal Potion Making class!) To charge your spell jar with your intent, you will write on a small scroll that will be the final, powerful ingredient included in your jar. To “seal the deal,” we will finish our jars with a bit of wax to lock in all that delicious magic. |
After you leave Squam Lake, your spell jar can be kept somewhere as a visible reminder of the goals you are working to manifest, or it can even be carried on your person to keep your intentions and wishes close and ever present in your mind and heart. Instructions will be provided for how to dispose of or repurpose the ingredients of your spell jar once its purpose has been served.

We each have a well of power within us. Some of us have quiet power, some have steady power, some have power that is waiting to be unlocked. In this dynamic, heart-centered tarot experience, deck creator and martial artist Jennifer Steidley invites you to reclaim your power through a potent blend of symbolic insight, physical expression, and ritual activation.
Using her Symdala Tarot deck as a guide, you’ll identify an activation word or message of healing, protection, or empowerment. Then you will be encouraged to journey through movement, journaling, and embodied visualization to integrate its energy. The session culminates in a powerful act of release and reclamation: a board-breaking ceremony where you will get to physically break through what holds you back and symbolically cross a threshold into your creative sovereignty |
