Class Description
Immerse yourself in creativity and the natural beauty of Squam Lake with this unique art workshop. In this class, you’ll craft a one-of-a-kind laser-cut appliqué collage, which you’ll bring to life through both hand and machine sewing. Add depth, texture, and your personal style to your masterpiece. The final creation will be finished as a loosely quilted wall hanging, a perfect blend of artistry and nature.
Venture into the wilderness to find the perfect branch for your hanger, adding an organic, natural touch to your art piece. This workshop offers a unique combination of creativity, exploration, and the beauty of nature, making it an unforgettable journey for artists of all levels.
Students will need to provide an 8" embroidery hoop and scissors. Bianca will provide a range of embroidery floss for student use. If you prefer specific colors you're welcome to bring your own to ensure you have what you need.
Students will also work on shared sewing machines throughout the class. Fabrics may vary from sample images.
Experience Level: All levels welcomed.

Kit Details: To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, students are required to pre-purchase a fabric kit, which will be conveniently delivered to the class. When you register for Bianca's class you will be sent an exclusive code to use that will remove any shipping costs for your kit, as well as any additional items you’d like to order and have Bianca bring to the lake. Everything you need will be ready for you to start stitching during class.
About Bianca: Bianca Springer is a renowned garment maker, instructor, embroidery artist and the author of the inclusive embroidery book, “Represent! Embroidery Stitch 10 Colorful Projects & 100 Designs Featuring a Full Range of Shapes, Skin Tones & Hair Textures” She is the owner of “Thanks! I Made Them, Sew Can You,” and an innovator of sewing and embroidery notions designed to improve the sewing experience.Her stunning embroidery work and upcycled textile garments have been featured in several publications, including “What Women Create”, “Simply Sewing”, “Love Patchwork and Quilting” and “Love Embroidery Magazine.” She has also contributed her insights and creativity to “Sew News Magazine” and “Creative Machine Embroidery Magazine.”
Bianca has shared her expertise as an instructor at prestigious events such as QuiltCon, the Festival of Quilts in Birmingham UK, the Embroiderers’ Guild of the UK, the Woodlawn and Frank Lloyd Wright Pope-Leighey House, Sew Creative Lounge, Gathering of Stitches Retreat and Sacred Makers Soul Retreat. Bianca resides in Pearland, TX where she offers sewing instruction in private and with the Harris County Library System, further inspiring and educating the fiber arts community.
